BIOgraphy
Reggie White was born in Manchester, Jamaica in a small town called Swaby Hope. The White family consisting of 12 children and 2 adults immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts in the early 70's. While attending vocational school Reggie also developed another interest, music. Influenced by the church, Reggie's dad played gospel music on his harmonica which intrigued the future singer and musician. After taking guitar lessons, he connected with a friend Kevin Mackenzie who also played. The two played together in their free time and decided to start a band called “Natural Mystic“. They reached out to fellow friends and budding musicians to join them on this journey to making music for the people that had a message of love, peace and triumph over hardship. With Kevin and Reggie at the helm providing vocals and playing the guitar the other band members Franz "Sticks" Narcisse played the drums, George Wright played bass, and Mike Wright on keyboard. The band played at local venues like the Windsor Cricket Club, Caribbean Culture Club, Western Front, and The Channel; these spaces hosted established and upcoming reggae artists. The band grew in notoriety and popularity and built up a reputation that allowed them to be requested to play for Reggae Celebrities such as Papa San, Barrington Levy, Cutty Ranks, Gregory Isaac, Jimmy Cliff, Eddie Lovette and many more. The "Natural Mystic" band stayed together for many years, but like all groups, some members wanted to pursue other interests or return to normal work with music being relegated to a pastime. The love of music never left Reggie as he would continue to write and record music over the years based on life experiences and political changes. After retiring, Reggie decided to take the songs written in his notebook and record them. In 2018, he recorded his first album "Love" and in January 2024 is proud of his newly released sophomore album titled "People are People". The titled song first debuted on famous producer and DJ Jack Scorpio's show on The Bridge 99FM. The video was shot on one of Jamaica's beautiful beaches in Negril. Grab a drink, partner or friend and let the music warm you up and cool you down!
